I love this sorbet because its only 120 calories per serving and its fat-free.


Sometimes you really need chocolate.

The Goal

OK, I wasn't going to post "before" pictures until I reached my goal, but I changed my mind. I'm not very happy at this weight, but I have to keep reminding myself that I just had a baby about 6 weeks ago. I know it takes time.

So this bottom picture was in the fall of 2008, when I had just found out I was pregnant with our second baby (which ended in a miscarriage). This was my first "belly pic." I was about 15 pounds lighter than I am now, so this photo is basically me at my goal weight. I think I can... I think I can...

Can I just point out that my boobs are huge right now compared to then? I hate it because none of my shirts fit. Ugh!!!

Weight loss for moms

Does anyone else think that losing weight is much more difficult when you are home almost all day long? I know that when I am busy, I don't think about food and treats all the time. I've realized that I just need to come up with a hobby. My girls keep me really busy, but I guess my mind isn't busy enough. Eating is probably not the best hobby either. I love baking, but that's not going to help me lose weight.

I have always wanted a hobby. So... what are your hobbies?

Umm...

This is a lot harder than I thought it would be. I am really struggling lately with my calorie limitations. Ugh! I just want this to be easy.

So far...

I've lost 1.5 lbs. It's a start!

I've been staying within my calorie limit pretty well and walking at the gym too. As annoying as counting calories is- it works.

Before and After

FYI: I have taken some "before" photos, but I don't have the guts to post them. So I am going to post them along with my "after" photos as soon as I reach my goal weight. I can't wait to get to that point. Nothing fits me right now and it's driving me crazy!

Working Out

I went back to the gym today for the first time in months. I'm going to start out with just walking for the first week or two. Then I will start running and adding weight training again. Exercising is pretty hard when you are completely out of shape, but I don't think it will take too long for me to get back into it.

The Plan

Diet:

I'm going to count calories because it has always worked for me in the past, and I will stay around 1,800 calories.

I'm also going to try to Eat Clean as much as possible.

Exercise:

I'm going to get back to the gym and workout 3 or 4 times a week.


Pretty simple, right? I hope I can stay motivated.

The time has come...

to lose some weight!! I just had my 2 week post-partum check-up on Wednesday and I am 6 pounds from my pre-pregnancy weight. However, I was not happy with that weight, so I am making the goal to lose 15 pounds.

That sounds a little bit daunting, but I know I can do it. I am not liking this post-baby body at all. The muffin top thing is so last season. So follow along as I attempt to get lean and healthy. yay!

Also, is anyone else trying to lose weight? Let's do it together!
